Miami trolley ridership exceeding expectations

Will the success of the new Miami trolleys lead to a more permanent transit solution, such as light rail?

City of Miami capital improvement director Albert Sosa says that ridership is meeting or exceeding estimates, especially on the Brickell-Biscayne route.

Four new routes will be introduced later this year, and the city trolley fleet will grow faster than expected, more than double current levels.

I’m very happy about the extension of the trolley route north along Biscayne Boulevard. However, it would be nice if there were one or two additional stops along the boulevard between Pace Park and Midtown Shops.

I think you’re confusing the points of interest on the map with stops. There are stops up and down the street.

I’d be very happy to be confused about that! I’ve been dreaming about walking no more than two blocks from my building to get to a stop.
